The Learning Center is a wide-ranging collection of materials that provides resources on many aspects of learning. This section includes information on how we learn, as well as specific education topics such as: learning differences, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, sensory impairments, autism, gifted and talented, executive functioning and social skills. Also included are topics such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder, as well as various therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Applied Behavioral Analysis. All the items in this area have pink labels that say “Learning Center” on them. This collection includes books, DVDs, books on CD and CDs. The Learning Center was developed for students, parents, teachers, tutors and professionals for accessing and understanding all information on how we learn, and what affects learning. To help you find the information, we have several Bibliographies organized by topic, and these are a good place to start when looking for answers. If you walk into the library, The Learning Center is located to the left of the Reference Desk.
Please feel free to ask the Reference Librarians for help.
