Join best-selling author, June Hersh as she takes us on a food journey from the Jewish immigrants arriving in NYC to the stories and recipes of Holocaust survivors. Food is integral to Jewish culture and the imprint that Jewish immigrants made to the crave-worthy binge-able bites of NYC is fun and fascinating. June will share stories from pastrami to pickles. She will then turn her focus to the remarkable community of Holocaust survivors who shared their life-affirming stories and cherished recipes with her. Anecdotes about the process and how to cook from a bisel of this and a handful of that will be explored. You'll then hear uplifting incredible stories of survival and resilience, and of course, there will be nosh!
