Effective January 1, 2025 changes coming to the Westchester Library System App.

The current version of the Westchester Library System App will be retired on 1/1/2025 and replaced with a new and improved app mid-January. Your barcode will still be visible on the old app, so please keep it on your device for now. Please use the library catalog to view your account and place holds. 

The Library will be closed on December 24–25. We will reopen at 9:00am on December 26.

Notary services are available by appointment. To schedule, please complete a reservation form here. You do not have an appointment until your reservation is confirmed. 

Guidelines:  

  • Valid photo ID is required.

  • The document must be in English.
  • Do not sign your document in advance. All documents must be signed in the presence of a notary. All other parts of your paperwork must be filled out prior to your appointment leaving only the signature and notary statement blank. Staff notaries will not notarize any document with blank spaces and are prohibited from helping you to prepare, complete or understand legal documents. 

  • If the document requires a witness, you must provide your own witness at the time of notarization and may not solicit patrons using the library or library staff. Please make sure they bring valid photo ID.

  • A suggested donation of $2 will be directed to the Friends of the Library.

 Reminders:

  • Notaries at the library cannot sign I-9 forms, birth certificates, photographs, incomplete documents or for an absent signer.
  • Notaries cannot certify the authenticity of a document, or provide legal advice or counseling regarding documents. 
  • If you are more than 10 minutes late your appointment may be cancelled and you may need to reschedule.

  • Monday 9:15am-4:45pm
  • Tuesday 12:15-7:45pm
  • Wednesday 12:15-4:45pm
  • Thursday 12:15pm-4:45pm
  • Friday 1:00-4:45pm

(These are the typical hours but not guaranteed). We know there could sometimes be an emergency, if a notary is needed not during the allotted times, that could be considered on a case-by-case basis.
