Event Details
Join Heather Flournoy from Wild Roots Initiative as we learn how to identify herbal medicine and culinary plants available in the wild around us.
This program starts with an indoor orientation and introduction before moving outdoors for a hands on experience.
We'll walk the grounds of the library discussing plants, how to identify them and their uses. We'll pick small amounts of leaves and flowers while reviewing safety, common look-alikes and sustainable foraging practices.
This program is for adults, teens, and kids 8+ when accompanied by an adult.
When registering please enter the names of all family members attending.
