Topic: “Sanctions of All Types"

Sanctions of all types - economic, political, financial and cultural - have been a significant weapon in the West's efforts to weaken and discourage the efforts of bad actors to disrupt the world order. But every day we hear how often sanctions are either evaded, compromised or just plain ignored.

Our speaker will give us a realistic tally of current and past sanctions that have succeeded, fallen short, or even created unintended consequences.

Speaker:

Thibault Denamiel (The Center for Strategic & International Studies)
