Effective January 1, 2025 changes coming to the Westchester Library System App.

The current version of the Westchester Library System App will be retired on 1/1/2025 and replaced with a new and improved app mid-January. Your barcode will still be visible on the old app, so please keep it on your device for now. Please use the library catalog to view your account and place holds. 

The Library will be closed on December 24–25. We will reopen at 9:00am on December 26.

Get ready to experience the solar eclipse on April 8th in New York State!

NASA-JPL Solar System Ambassador and science teacher Charles Fulco will explain why eclipses happen, their roles in history, and show you how to safely view and record the upcoming celestial event by constructing your own eclipse viewers (certified-safe eclipse glasses will also be provided). He’ll also discuss the importance of traveling upstate to the path of totality.

Monday, April 1 | First come, first serve. Limited supply.

  • Solar eclipse glasses can be picked up in the Kids Room, 1 per household.

Monday, April 8 | 1:00 - 4:00 pm (Library Theater)

  • Solar Eclipse Live Stream with NASA
  • Family activities in the Kids Room starting at 1:00 pm. 
  • Solar eclipse glasses will be handed out on the day of the eclipse, first come, first serve.
