Event Details

In this two-part series (1/10/24, 2/21/24), we will explore selected scenes of landmark films by artists from the U.S., Mexico, Israel, Iran, India, Japan, and China.

Animated films can speak to both children and adults simultaneously. This deceptively simple form of storytelling is an appealing way to explore history, politics, ethics, and the arts from various cultural perspectives. It’s also a way to focus on aesthetics, how thousands of carefully crafted still frames create the magic of motion pictures.

Cosponsored with Pound Ridge Library.
