Event Details

A book discussion group on the importance of trees. We will read one book each month and meet to discuss critical themes on how the book impacts our understanding of issues in our environment.

Hosted by Carol G. Durst-Wertheim, Ph.D and special guests: noted arborists, Westchester Parks Department staff, scientists, and FCWC board members.

February 20: The Man Who Planted Trees by Jean Giono

March 20The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben

April 17Overstory by Richard Powers

May 15: Finding the Mother Tree by Suzanne Simard

June 18 (Wednesday): Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak

Books will be available for loan at the Harrison Library, Yonkers Library and Chappaqua Library.
